The Review:

ODB's Classy Dive might sound like a spot where you’d expect sticky floors and a jukebox full of Skynyrd, but this West Allis joint in a newcomer in the bustling wing scene that is West Allis. Comin' in hot they're bring some serious value to the wing game. Their Thursday night special is one of the best around: wings are 50 cents each before 6 PM, and even after the clock strikes, they’re still just a buck. In 2025’s economy, that’s practically a time machine to better times. As always, prices/availability of menu items/prices and/or specials are subject to change at the sole discretion of the bar without the knowledge of Milwaukeewings.com and may not be updated accordingly.

With four in our crew that night and cheap wings to be had, we ordered a ton. The wings themselves were average to above average in size, fried and finished on the grill, which added a nice char. Most came out juicy and flavorful, though a few leaned dry. Still, the overall cook was solid, and they held up well under a variety of sauces.

ODB keeps their menu tight with five flavors: Lemon Pepper, Tangy Sweet Chili, Garlic Parm, Buffalo, and Angry Chef. With the number of wings we ordered, we were able to try and review every flavor. Tasting notes below:

Lemon Pepper - A citrusy dry rub with a hint of black pepper kick—nothing wild, but nicely balanced and enjoyable.

Tangy Sweet Chili - Surprised us in a good way. It leaned more tangy than sweet, with a little savory depth that kept it from falling into the usual sticky-sweet trap. Think Thai chili with a twist, and it works.

Garlic Parm looked unassuming but turned out to be a flavor bomb. Loads of garlic, buttery richness, and just enough funky Parmesan to make it interesting. Easily one of the better garlic parms we’ve had in a while.

Buffalo threw us a curveball. It was tasty—lightly tangy with a touch of citrus and vinegar—but almost no heat. More of a friendly handshake than a slap in the face. We enjoyed it, but we all felt it was not what you’d expect from something labeled “Buffalo.”

Angry Chef - this was a fun one. Despite not being 'Buffalo,' I felt this was closer to a traditional buffalo-style wing than the actual Buffalo flavor. I brought a buttery cayenne-forward sauce that brought just the right amount of heat. Our server touted this sauce of being "really spicy," however, it was not too hot, but just enough to wake up your taste buds. Even Molly, who’s not big on spice, handled them just fine. This was the clear standout flavor of the bunch.

The MKE Wings Crew's Favorites:

Frank: Angry Chef

Ross:  Angry Chef

Molly: Lemon Pepper

Amber: Lemon or Sweet and Tangy Chili

Conclusion: The value, the solid cook, and that Angry Chef sauce make ODB a worthy stop in the West Allis wing circuit. We feel that ODB's Classy dive is a Milwaukee Wings Certified Wing Joint! There’s certainly some room for a little more sauce variety which could take it to the next level—but ODB 's is definitely a must-try Thursday night spot for anyone chasing that classic tavern wing experience on a budget.
