The Review:
The Waddle Inn sits in a location that Milwaukee's poutine fans may remember as The Red Dot which in my opinion served some of the best poutine ever served in this city. Long after Red Dot closed after a fire, the space became Growlers and now it lives on as The Waddle Inn after a recent rebranding. Oddly The Waddle Inn has almost no online presence. No real website. A rarely updated Facebook page. So, it's a bit of a mystery. But after seeing a social media post featuring some very good-looking wings on a local foodie page, we decided we needed to know.
Unfortunately, there is no wing special, but the normal menu pricing at $16 for 10 wings. Each order comes with carrot and blue cheese slaw plus your choice of ranch or blue cheese for dipping. As always, prices/availability of menu items/prices and/or specials are subject to change at the sole discretion of the bar without the knowledge of Milwaukeewings.com and may not be updated accordingly.
The flavor list is small. Very small. Just three options:
Garlic Buffalo
Lemon Pepper
Blackberry Bourbon Barbecue
But what they lack in quantity, they absolutely make up for in execution.
The wings were perfectly cooked. Decently sized , not jumbo, not skimpy, and they arrived to the table with beautifully crispy skin and just a touch of grill char. Inside? Juicy and moist. The chicken itself was excellent before sauce even entered the equation.

Lemon Pepper - Bright, fresh citrus up front with a clean black pepper finish. Balanced, vibrant, and very well done. A textbook lemon pepper with a very bright citrusy punch.
Blackberry Barbecue - Their self-proclaimed customer favorite. Fruit-forward sweetness layered over smoky, savory barbecue depth. The blackberry note adds a fruity uniqueness without overpowering the wing. A really tasty, slightly elevated BBQ option.
Garlic Buffalo - This was the unanimous winner. At first glance, these may be the most visually stunning wings I'd ever seen. Tossed in a buffalo sauce and finished with a dark, garlicky drizzle that makes the plate pop. Flavor-wise, this isn’t your sharp, vinegar-forward buffalo. It leans more buttery and peppery, with a subtle smokiness in the background. Then that slightly sweet, garlicky black drizzle ties it all together. These flavors combine for a top-notch wing. My only personal critique would be that I wouldn’t have minded a bit more heat, but I'm nitpicking.
Milwaukee Wings Crew Favorites:
Frank: Garlic Buffalo
Jeremy: Garlic Buffalo
Ryan: Garlic Buffalo

Overall:
Yes, the flavor list is limited. But sometimes three excellent sauces are better than fifteen mediocre ones. If they ever expand the menu while maintaining this level of execution, watch out. Great beer selection. TVs throughout. Music bingo was going on during our visit, which added to the fun. It feels like a neighborhood spot that people in the know gravitate toward. We’ll absolutely be back — especially for those Garlic Buffalo wings. It's been a while, but I think we have our newest Hall of Fame wing spot, that Garlic Buffalo wing more than makes up for the smaller list of flavor offerings.
