The Review:

This is a quick review. What does that mean? Mainly, this review is incomplete, most likely due to a smaller wing crew preventing us from trying multiple flavors. In this case, it was just me!

This is certainly not my first time to Raised Grain, but it was the first time I believe I ever got their wings, I normally go for the pizza. On the menu as Birdseye-Brined Wings, these wings are brined in their Birdseye Belgian Tripel beer, cold smoked and then fried. They are finished in your choice of sauce (Buffalo, BBQ, Parmesan Garlic Butter, or RG Hot), or you can get them without sauce. An order of 8 wings will run you $12 as of the time of this review. *As always, pricing and availability is subject to change without notice!

The wings themselves were nicely sized, 8 wings were a nice sized meal. Dark in color from the smoking process, the wings were lightly dressed with my chosen sauce, RG Hot. The chicken was super juicy and flavorful from the beer brine, and the cold smoking method gave the wings a ton of smoky flavor. Honestly, these wings would be quite delicious just plain, tons of flavor even without a sauce. The RG Hot flavor was a bit different than I expected, not so much of a hot sauce as a green chile and jalapeno puree. A nice bright flavor with a bit of heat, a nice compliment to the smokiness of the wing. Wings were served with ranch dressing, didn't seem bleu cheese was an option.

Conclusion:

I'll have to skip the pizza and try the wings again next time! Raised Grain's wings are a nice accompaniment to their great beers. As I go back and try some more flavors, I'll add to this review!
